The Beltran Gas Hydrates Research Group seeks to strengthen our scientific basis in order to develop technologies that can impact our use of unconventional energy resources, improve our energy storage and transportation methods, and understand our environment.

We provide experimental information relevant to thermodynamics, kinetics, morphology, growth and dissociation of gas hydrates. Although gas hydrates or clathrates make the core of our research we love to find all kinds of creative applications for science and engineering.
